"I began sewing in 4-H around the age of 10 or 11. One of the first projects was a "feed sack" apron. From there I made garments for myself and my two daughters—tops, shorts, slacks, dresses as well as tailored suits for myself. In the 80's and early 90's I often made my own work wardrobe. In the mid-90's I got into the quilting frenzy. I continue to made quilts and I enjoy incorporating machine embroidery in some of my quilts. Quilting, sewing, and machine embroidery is certainly addictive and I am hooked."

"I joined the Bernina team after retiring from Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. At the time, my wife was working at the Bernina store and she thought I would have no fun being home alone and suggested that I join her at the store. I have received certification from Bernina, Pfaff and Brother training programs. My favorite thing about being a sewing machine tech is being able to put a smile on the customers face by solving their sewing machine problems."

"My mother sewed all the time. As a young child, it amazed me how you could cut fabric and sew it together. Mom made me learn to sew by hand before she would let me use the machine. By ten years old, I was making some of my own clothes. Mom and Dad bought my first two machines. I wore the first one out and I still use my second one. When I came to Bernina, I bought two more machines; the 180E and 1300 serger. And sewing life goes on!"
